MAKING history in Portimão

The Autódromo Internacional do Algarve once again delivered one of the most decisive rounds of the season in the Eurocup-3, featuring a packed grid of international talent and one of the most demanding circuits on the calendar. In that highly competitive environment, Palou Motorsport didn’t just perform well.

From the very beginning at the stunning Autódromo Internacional do Algarve, there was a growing sense that something special was building for the team. What followed turned that feeling into reality.

A strong Saturday that set the tone

Race 1 already showed the strength of the project. James Egozi delivered a flawless drive to take a commanding victory, controlling the race from start to finish.

Behind him, the team completed a very strong overall performance: Heitor Dallagnol secured an excellent P3, while Rafael Perard finished just shy of the podium in P4. Bianca Bustamante crossed the line in P14, gaining valuable experience in a tightly packed field.

It was already a great result but the best was yet to come.

A Sunday that already looked promising from pole position

Sunday began with a clear statement of intent: James Egozi took pole position, immediately signalling that Palou Motorsport was in a prime position to fight for another win.

And the team delivered once again.

Egozi converted pole into another dominant victory, claiming his second win of the weekend. But the defining moment came right behind him: Heitor Dallagnol finished P2, securing a historic 1–2 finish (P1 and P2) for Palou Motorsport in Eurocup-3.

A result that not only reflects pure pace, but also consistency, execution, and growing maturity from the whole team.

In the same race, Rafael Perard retired (NC) and Bianca Bustamante finished P18 in a highly intense midfield battle where small margins made the difference.

Championship impact: clear momentum building

The consequences of the weekend are significant. James Egozi now leads the championship as the standalone leader with 106 points, opening a 44-point gap over his closest rival.

Even more importantly, Palou Motorsport reaches a historic milestone of its own: the team now leads the teams’ standings with 150 points for the first time ever.

A weekend that will be remembered

Portimão was not just another round of the season. It was the weekend where everything came together pole position on Sunday, two race wins, a historic 1–2 finish, and leadership in both championships.

At one of the toughest circuits in Europe, Palou Motorsport didn’t just compete.
