Palou Motorsport to join Euroformula Open in 2027

A new team will join the Euroformula Open in 2027: Spanish racing team Palou Motorsport announces today that it will enter the series promoted by GT Sport from next season, with the intention of running three Dallara 324 single-seaters powered by Tom’s engines.

Palou Motorsport is a professional racing team based in Barcelona, founded by Indianapolis 500 winner and five-time IndyCar champion Alex Palou, together with his father, Ramon Palou, with the mission of developing the next generation of elite drivers.

The team currently competes in the Eurocup-3 Championship with young drivers, where they have established themselves as a competitive force within the series, achieving podium finishes, victories and consistent front-running performances.

Interestingly, Alex Palou has a strong connection with Euroformula, as it was in this series that he made his single-seater debut in 2014, following his years in karting. He went on to secure three victories at Nürburgring, Hungaroring and Barcelona.
